Nets on 146.94

All licensed amateur radio operators are invited to check in, pass traffic, and make announcements on the following nets.

Weather dependent; as  needed

SKYWARN Net

This net is entirely dependent upon our weather. When snow and ice storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, flooding, and high winds go through our listening area, checking in to a SKYWARN net is a good way to help the National Weather Service (NWS) get an accurate sense of the type of damage/impact weather events may be having. Be aware that their are certain criteria that are sought by NWS. It is helpful to familiarize yourself with those before checking in. Even better, get trained as a SKYWARN spotter.

SKYWARN Coordinator:  Ray - KA1JJM

Assistant SKYWARN Coordinator:  Eric - N1QKO
Assistant SKYWARN Coordinator:  Jim- N1VMH
